Dr. Ahmed is a lecturer at the Computer Science department at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.He is also the Head of Department of the Bio medical Engineering Unit at the faculty.He is also a founding member of FCHC. Between 1990-2004 he served as the Medical Superintendent and resident Pediatrician at the Maternal and Child health hospital in Kumasi.
He is the head of Biomedical Engineering Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. He had his education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Liverpool and University of Strathclyde.
